Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) is looking forward to another busy year in 2020 and will be welcoming back many class associations that regularly hold events here. Throughout the year, there are events for Laser, 420, Cadets, Optimists, Flying Fifteens, UK Windsurfing, Weymouth Speed Week as well as the following classes that have chosen WPNSA to host their National Championships: SB20s, GP14s, Laser Masters, Hansas, Fireballs and Toppers.
Included in the events programme are two World Championships, both of which include their National events in the preceding week. Firstly, in August, there is the Zhik 29er Class World Championships, which is a youth racing class that feeds into the 49er and 49erFX Olympic Classes. This is followed in September, by the International Moth World Championship. This highly contested foiling event will bring some of the top sailors here, including several which will have just competed in the Olympics at Tokyo. WPNSA is delighted to be hosting these two prestigious World Championships which will draw people from all over the World to enjoy the delights of Weymouth, Portland and the Jurassic Coast.
In addition, WPNSA already has bookings for a number of wedding receptions and ceremonies. We are also available for functions, meetings, corporate days and our cafeteria is open every day to the general public.
